Octopi Renewed is a subsidiary of the Octopi Group, that started trading in the Office Automation industry in 1985. The Group has branches located throughout South Africa and an extensive network of dealers across Southern Africa. Within the Group we have extensive in-house and external sales, technical and support resources that enable us to assist customers with used and new MFP copiers and office printer solutions, consumables, parts, spares and technical support.
Our product range includes multifunction (MFP) or single-function (SFP) colour or monochrome printers/copiers that are as good as new, with easy-to-use interfaces, reliable paper handling, advanced information security and effective tools for controlling costs.
As an Octopi Renewed customer, you also have access to our tailored, asset-based finance solutions, allowing you to preserve your working capital and leverage your operational budget. The rental finance option offered by Octopi Financial Solutions means lower hardware investment costs and it allows you to update your equipment and software when needed.
Octopi Renewed offers a comprehensive training and development programme for candidates from the Octopi Group’s Learnerships, a work-based education and skills development programme. Youth development is a priority for our organisation as it aligns with our commitment to empowerment and sustainability. All learners complete SETA certified classroom training in our learning centre at the Octopi Renewed Midrand office, in addition to hands-on technical skills training. These learners play a fundamental role in the refurbishment of the printers/copiers that the company sells. The learners that complete the training program have the opportunity to be permanently employed within the Group.
The Octopi Group takes our responsibility to social development and empowerment seriously. To this end, we have initiated a number of community projects that are aimed at sustainably improving people’s lives. With these initiatives, we are not just shaping a compelling growth story for the Group, but also contributing positively to the broader community.
With these initiatives we are contributing positively to the broader community, in addition to offering invaluable training, development and potential employment for the previously unemployed youth. These initiatives are not just about business expansion; it is about making a positive difference to the communities we serve and creating opportunities for the youth.
The Octopi Group has retained our Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Level 1 recognition for four consecutive years. This is a significant achievement and we are very proud of the substantial value this adds to our subsidiary companies and clients, as well as the impact it has on South Africa as a country. The Group is committed to doing business in a manner that ensures long-term sustainability for the benefit of South Africa’s many cultures and communities, as well as our stakeholders. For us, sustainability is a continuous journey and requires a multidisciplinary approach.
B-BBEE forms part of our overall transformation programme and consists of carefully planned activities and programmes which promote and enhance the constructive and meaningful participation of previously disadvantaged groups. Our B-BBEE strategy is based on several elements:

The Octopi Group endeavours to conduct its business in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way through various practices. We sell used photocopiers that still have many years of use left and not yet reached their lifespan back into the market. By refurbishing and reselling these photocopiers we limit the amount of electronic equipment that would have ended up at landfill sites, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
The Octopi Group is committed to building a more sustainable future in line with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as supported by South Africa. SDGs form the foundation of our future, therefor we select partners that are aligned with these goals. Our goals are to deliver sustainable value, to positively impact our communities, to make a difference in education, to promote gender equality, to provide job opportunities, to participate in economic growth, and to use technology to reduce our impact on the environment.
